  CHAPTER 7 THE KING OF A TROCITY Luminescent   moss clinging to the ceiling twinkled like stars dotting the   night sk y . The moist air smelled of a primeval forest after a heavy rainfall. Grasses and wildflowers grew along the floo r . In one corne r , beads of moisture dripped from the roots of a massive tree into one of the puddles here and there, creating soft plip s and tiny ripples.
